Yarn and Pedal a Success
In partnership with the Taylor Community and Social Group and Pedal Power’s Bike Library Fix and Ride workshop, a group of creative women under the leadership of Fran Freeman brought cycling to a new level.
Fran, a Pedal Power volunteer, led a unique yarn-bombing event that transformed bicycles into eye-catching community art. Five women participated including Mary the founder of Good Omen Goodeze who ensured several young participants assisted in the making of decorations for the bikes.
The resulting "yarn-bombed" bicycles are mobile art pieces designed to attract attention and encourage people to join Pedal Power. These decorative bikes showcase how community groups can creatively promote cycling and bring people together.
If you have a suggestion for where one of our fabulous creations could be displayed and gain maximum traction from the cycling community please get in touch.
