Simon Copland pedals toward new horizons.

David Whitney President of Pedal Power today advised the resignation of Simon Copland as Executive Director of Pedal Power.

Pedal Power are delighted that Simon has been able to pursue advancement in his career however note that Simon’s energy and passion for cycling advocacy will be missed.

Simon has been a strong Executive Director and totally immersed himself in all matters cycling for Pedal Power and the Canberra region.

Simon is a great advocate for cycling and has raised the profile of Pedal Power in important circles within Canberra, including across the Legislative Assembly, within government agencies and with sponsors and supporters.

Pedal Power members have also enjoyed more competitive insurance cover, increased social engagement and strong safety advocacy during Simon’s time as E.D.

On behalf of the Pedal Power Board, I wish Simon all the best in his new position and thank him for his almost two years of executive service to Pedal Power.

Simon will leave Pedal Power at the end of July 2024.
