Ngamawari park works

map of proposed changes

The City Renewal Authority has begun work on Ngamawari (pronounced nar-mar-wa-ree), the 30,000sqm public park coming to the Acton Waterfront.

Over the next few weeks, the construction team will be creating access tracks for large deliveries, installing traffic signs on the shared paths, which we will keep open for as long as possible, and doing earthworks to prepare for the installation of large stormwater infrastructure.

During these early works there will be noise impacts and detours for pedestrians, cyclists, and vehicles. These are being mitigated by the contractor where possible.

The Authority has engaged Pedal Power at a number of stages on this project and they are very open to feedback from path users. Please feel free to email them about this construction and detours via cityrenewal@act.gov.au.
