Shaping the Future: Pedal Power’s Plan for 2025-27
Pedal Power has launched its new Strategic Plan for 2025-27.
While this Plan maintains key goals from previous years—such as encouraging more people to cycle, strengthening advocacy, and ensuring organisational sustainability—it places a stronger focus on collaboration and recognising the invaluable contributions of members and volunteers.
The four pillars of our Strategic Plan are:
Encourage cycling in the community for personal enjoyment, health and wellbeing, transport, recreation, tourism and for its environmental benefits.
Build and utilise our capability to advocate to government, business and community.
Collaborate with and value our members and volunteers.
Operate a sustainable organisation.
The greatest change comes under pillar 3: collaboration and valuing people.
“We are keen to deliver meaningful services and opportunities by collaborating with members and volunteers to understand their needs and motivations,” explains Pedal Power’s Executive Director, Cecily Michaels.
“It’s important for us to ensure that our offerings are shaped by our members’ input, and to achieve this, we plan to hold regular consultations.
“We will also ensure that members and volunteers clearly understand the value they bring by recognising, celebrating, and rewarding their contributions,” Cecily adds.
