Seen any terrible temporary traffic signs lately?

Pedal Power wants to keep an eye on the use of temporary traffic signs when they are used on roads, and how they affect traffic.

If you see temporary signs that have been put up that:

  • obstruct normal cycle traffic, or discriminate against bike riders,

  • are confusing or contradictory,

  • close your route, and then do not provide clear directions for a viable diversion,

or if you see some fantastic signage, please send an email, preferably with a photo, to advocacy@pedalpower.org.au.

We have seen some very good and some pretty ordinary signage that can confuse, delay or even make your journey unsafe if you follow the directions.

We want to try a coordinated approach to improve the way temporary signage is used for bikes, and your feedback will help a lot.
