Event Details:

Meet in the Dickson College carpark on Phillip Avenue, Dickson for an 8:00am start.

Three options:

- Slower (50 to 70+ km - rated MXX);

- Intermediate (70 to 90+ km - rated MHXX);

- Faster (80 to 100+ km - rated HXX).

These rides are on the sealed roads around the Canberra area with a café stop.  Riders with adequate fitness and stamina for the option selected are invited to come and ride with like-minded people.  Typically the average riding pace over the ride will be about: slower 19-22 km/h, intermediate 22 to 25 km/h and faster 25-27 km/h.

On the last Sunday of the month there is a Southern ride starting in the carpark opposite Tuggeranong Library.

The routes starting from Dickson College often go out on the Federal or Barton Highways, and quickly get onto secondary roads. Sometimes routes to the south are ridden. The café stops used include Gundaroo, Murrumbateman, Bungendore, Queanbeyan, Tharwa, Hall and some of the local wineries.

Normally groups comprising riders who travel at similar speeds form and there is some waiting for slower riders to catch up. The intention is to finish back at the start by lunch time.

Unless explicitly stated otherwise, all Pedal Power bike rides and events are ‘unsupported’ and riders are to be totally self sufficient and provide their own water, food, tools, pump, spares (spokes, tubes, etc), puncture repair kits, and whatever else they desire and there is no ‘sag wagon’ or equivalent.  On rides with some support, the type and level of support is given in the ride details
